Virgin telly box so noisy and stupid

The virgin freeview box is annoying the heck out of me. It churns away all the time, processing telly things I suppose.

At first I thought it was raining outside, then realised it was this nob end of a gadget.

Also the guide function is rubbish. Starts at bbc1 regardless of which channel you are watching.

And so expensive. But very reliable internet so I need to keep it.

I am a noise sensitive person so it could just be me?

I hate Virgin with a vengeance but I don't dare change because I think anyone else will be just as bad. Box is noisy and annoying and I tend to go through apps on the Xbox instead because they are more intuitive.
