Help! Can't lock garage door!

Hello!
Moved into a new place and realised I can't lock my garage door. I have the key but whatever way I twist and turn it it is still easy to open from the outside

I know I'm am idiot but can't work it out! Pics included and hoping someone knows how!

While you can't sort it, drive your car close enough that it can't be opened for access.

Do you have to twist the knob first before locking?

Will try twisting and locking now and thanks as a laat resort will move my car.

Twisting and locking is not helping 😫😫

It's an integral garage too so definitely need to lock it!

Sorted! DH managed to lock it from the inside. Will definitely not be opening it if he's not here lol
