All welcome - you can post more than once, just don't double post or no trophy for you!

Party on dudes, and be excellent to each other 🎉

@KurtWilde @NigellaSeed I think I'll definitely let him take the lead in the next date.
I know he has his children next weekend so we'll see if he wants to meet this week or wait until after the weekend, depends how keen he his I guess?!
I also think he's being cool and cautious.

PurpleyBlue · 28/06/2021 16:17

Do they have the app so you get real time updates and photos? they do but I'm not set up on it yet :( probably a good thing or I'd be checking on her every 5 minutes.

KurtWilde · 28/06/2021 16:46

Feather slow and steady wins the race. I'm quite impatient and tend to take the lead a lot - often to my detriment 🤣

Purpley Oof I'd be constantly checking that app too!

Haha I was literally just looking at their headless stalks :P

He must be home now. Cuddles!!

KurtWilde · 28/06/2021 22:10

They're home. I've had all the cuddles. He's perfect, and my DD.. well she's very pale and tired but she's amazing. It's been a cuddlefest 🥰

OP posts:
ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 28/06/2021 22:25

awww, baby cuddles..mmmmmm

if she's pale do you think she might be a bit anaemic? Happy to recommend the multivitamins I take

so glad you got to see them, what a long wait x

KurtWilde · 28/06/2021 22:58

Zing she's quiet anaemic because she lost a lot of blood, they've put her on a course of iron. Baby isn't at all jaundiced though which is good.

I mentioned the best wishes of everyone on the thread 😊

OP posts:
KurtWilde · 29/06/2021 09:05

*quite' anaemic - damn phone 😂

OP posts:
ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 29/06/2021 10:06

🤣
yeah, I figured.

I lost a lot with DS1, they were in that fine window of considering transfusion...luckily didn't need it.
I still get a bit anaemic. but I'm never quiet🤣
glad baby is not getting jaundiced.

what's everyone's plans today?
5pm is England v Germany in the knock-out stage. so looking forward to it.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿⚽️❤
bolognese sauce I cooked tons of last week is defrosting for dinner, so that's sorted.

I think I'll either do some sewing or sort Lego today, I shall pick after coffee & breakfast.

KurtWilde · 29/06/2021 11:41

Yup she was borderline transfusion. Anyway home and all good! He is perfect 😍

It's sunny today. I've got a new writing project to start so I'll do that sat outside somewhere with an endless supply of coffee ☕️

I've done all the tidying I can find so I'm going to make a cake.

@KurtWilde

They're home. I've had all the cuddles. He's perfect, and my DD.. well she's very pale and tired but she's amazing. It's been a cuddlefest 🥰

Love the colour! You've given me an idea of something I can do while LO is at nursery.

NigellaSeed · 29/06/2021 16:18

Great news @Kurt! Sorry if tmi - but hopefully your DD knows to eat lots of prunes when taking iron!

Bolengaise sounds lovely Zing- i have just used yesterdays chicken to make a korma (sorry MN but it's only stretched to 2 days 🤣)

You know what I match actually stick the football on then - it's gorgeous out AND i have some elderflower presse in the fridge!! (Yes this is the height of indulgence for me)

Has anyone seen any Wimbledon? 🍓

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 29/06/2021 16:21

kids are ready!

Evening, all. I've been busy with work the last couple of days but my brain was actually working, so I had to make the most of it.

It's lovely to hear everyone's updates! Kurt I'm so glad you got some long overdue cuddles! Your DD is one tough cookie. I hope she's resting when she can (not easy to do though).

Feather Keep us posted on the date situation (if you want to, of course). I'm very happy to be in a comfortable and settled relationship with DH, but it's still fun to hear about dating adventures.

Zing Is your household in celebration mode from the England win? I only popped in at the end but "heard" the first goal from DH's whooping.

Nigella I don't know anything about tennis, so Wimbledon is over my head. Hope you're enjoying it! I was going to ask if you're cheering on anyone in particular but then realised I can name literally only one-and-a-half tennis players: Serena Williams and Tim ~~~ (someone mentioned him in another thread). Smile

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 29/06/2021 22:25

@UnlimitedChipsAndSalsa

we were ecstatic!!
it was a really great game with 2 superb goals. so happy.
really looking forward to Saturday!
DD & DS6 want their nails done too!😁 (didn't bother today as school tomorrow, too much hassle).

watching Sweden v Ukraine now, it looks like it will be a penalty shoot-out

KurtWilde · 29/06/2021 22:53

Zing sounds like it's been a fun night in your house! DS was over the moon.

Salsa it's so good to have DD and baby home, it's amazing the power of a shower, takeaway and night in her own bed - she's bouncing back really quickly.

So great to read that baby wilde is back home. @KurtWilde, I had a birth debrief by a Professional Midwifery Advocate which really helped sort through it in my head. The contact details were in the pack they gave me, and can be found online on the trust website. I recently made a complaint, you have one year to make it, didn’t feel up to it until now. The fiveXmore campaign provides guidance on the procedure and links for support, such as the NHS own advocacy service, www.fivexmore.com/nhs-complaints .

KurtWilde · 30/06/2021 10:14

@BakeOffRewatch thank you! I'll pass that on to DD. Hope you're well! She had a visit from the community midwife today who was less than impressed with how her labour and birth were handled, and how far overdue she was allowed to go as this was the reason baby wilde had an infection. The main thing is they're both well, but she'll definitely be lodging a complaint.

BakeOffRewatch · 30/06/2021 10:14

I’ve been reading but not had the time (hands!) to make out replies. Think there were chats about gardening? That’s such a funny story @NigellaSeed about your baby pulling up weeds.

@featherbird exciting to hear about dates going well! So are we past the evening out when he said he’d be at home?

@UnlimitedChipsAndSalsa are you still riding on your Classics high?

I was starving last night and was going to get a post-dinner mcD drive-thru (judge not, baby going through growth spurt I think and feeding off me for hours! She’s deep asleep now) but then I heard the cars tooting in celebration of England win and thought nah I’m not going out! Got dp to buy me some biscuits instead.

BakeOffRewatch · 30/06/2021 10:27

Yes I’m good, thank you for asking @KurtWilde Smile. I had baby in early November, 2nd lockdown and was alone on ward after no sleep or food labour, spinal/episiotomy/forceps so wasn’t able to move and just holding my baby exhausted (I won’t mention complaint matter here). It has taken time to recover, but luckily I live somewhere with well funded support and services. I was under care of a 121 midwife team for a month after, and the NHS PeriNatal Mental Health service (your DD can find by googling her NHS trust and that term, they’re meant to be self referral now I think, ours is, but GP or midwife can refer). Apparently PNMH services have seen their service load increase massively the past year. www.england.nhs.uk/mental-health/perinatal/ We also have a local charity that provide emotional support to mums, which I found hugely helpful.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 30/06/2021 11:18

morning all!

we are at the dentist with DS6. he lost 2 baby teeth early March and the adult teeth hasn't appeared yet so having the situation checked out.

we both still have reddish hair from last night😁

DH is going away until Friday.
I can't remember the last time he stayed away for the night, let alone 2!
I'll be so outnumbered 😳🤣
