The house is quiet tonight, DC crashed out early and I'm finishing the day with wine and X Files.

Update: Date number 3 this afternoon whoop! 🥳 off to see a show.

Zing I'm going to pop over to theirs when they're home, she wants some mama cuddles. I won't out stay my welcome, just give them both some massive hugs and then leave them to settle in before visiting properly. So excited 😊

I remembered one thing: DS4 got jaundiced on day 5 after birth and wasn't feeding well (kept on sleeping). from memory there's a higher rate of jaundice in babies born via C-section then vaginally so if baby is sleepy it's worth checking whites of eyes and skin tone against something white (wall, towel, clothes, pieces of paper) and if any doubt just get him seen.
again, not to scare but I wish someone had told me so hope this is helpful.

Thanks zing I'll pass that cuddle on from you. DD herself was very jaundiced which was scary because she was my first baby. I'll tell her to keep an eye out

Afternoon all
Date number 3 was really nice. We went to a comedy show then food and drinks. There was lots of hand holding and he drove me home and and a long smooch in the car 😍
But now what?? We didn't arrange date 4 and he did mention the 'let's see how this develops' line (I always think it's the non committal blurb?)

Ooh feather that sounds lovely but I'm kinda with you on that parting line! How has communication been in between dates?

@KurtWilde well he told me straight off that he's not much of a tester and prefers a phone call.
We have some quick text exchanges about arrangements to meet otherwise he calls me in the evening. I've had no reason to think there is anyone else but you just don't know. I think he doesn't want to show his hand yet and I'm a bit more heart on my sleeve.

Today DS watched me do some weeding. I pulled up all th weeds in front of my lovely pansies so id be able to see them better from my kitchen window. And then DS pulled all my pansie heads off 😭 tbf it was very good watching and imitating but still 😭

@featherbird I'd say as long as communication doesn't start to wane then he's just very chuffed you've had 3 great dates and doesn't want to rush in case it spoils it. Fingers crossed! Do you feel comfortable suggesting another date or would you prefer him to take the lead?

Well DD and baby have been discharged but waiting on paperwork. Hopefully they'll be home in time for tea though 😊
