Evening all, aw a first day at nursery purpley, it feels like a big step doesn't it!

What is anyone up to this weekend?

Baby Wilde is still poorly, we're looking at Monday afternoon for discharge but it's provisional on the antibiotics working.

Aw, I was hoping you would get some cuddles this weekend, Kurt.

Nothing much going on here. Just catching up on work and chores, maybe go to the park with DD and DH if the weather is nice.

Salsa I have rogue tomatoes growing everywhere from seeds that survived my compost heap! I will happily provide if Purple is spoofing

Hope you and baby purple survived the day Purple. My lovely mum took me shoe shopping on dd's first day in nursery. I haven't worn the shoes in years but I also can't bring myself to get rid of them. I'm ridiculously sentimental

We're taking DC to a farm and playground tomorrow, let's hope we survive without too many toddler tantrums...

Yes I do have tomato plants. They have 2 green tomatoes on at the moment.

I wish we had tomatoes, rogue or otherwise. The garden is not quite that advanced...yet.

Its just 3 plants in pots, we don't have much outdoor space unfortunately. The easiest thing I've grown is chillis but I didn't realise I would get so many so I planted a few and ended up having to freeze lots.

Oh I have a bit of lavender out the front as well. That's always cheery in the summer.

My lavendar hasn't bloomed yet and it's covered in those spittle bugs not envy

I might try some pots next year. Thanks, Purpleyblue. I did manage to dig out a flowerbed to plant wildflowers (even removed all of the weeds instead of just digging them under). Little did I know I was building a toilet for all the neighbourhood cats. (also not envy)

Master Wilde is still a bit poorly but they're confident the antibiotics will work and tentatively saying home on Monday afternoon. We're keeping everything crossed. DD has decided to make a formal complaint about how her labour and birth was handled.

I've had the DC out at a funfair today. They really needed some one on one time after such a stressy week. They're knackered now!

Yeah they picked a name a few weeks back, it's quite an unusual one and I'd love to say what it is but I don't want to out myself. DD is doing ok considering, she really just wants to get him home.

Dad is allowed to be there all the time, we think because they know how badly they mismanaged her labour and birth and they're hoping that this approach will prevent serious complaint.

tbh he should be allowed for the full length of visiting hours regardless.
but it's really good he can be there..

Kurt Your DD is so strong to go forward with a formal complaint. It takes a lot of mental energy, but it could prevent something similar from happening in future to someone else. I hope DGS gets to go home on Monday.
