I received a parking ticket saying I had stayed too long in the car park of a retail park. I initially thought I had got the ticket as I visited the retail park twice in one day and thought the cameras had logged my two visits as one long visit. I emailed a dispute along with screenshots of text messages to prove it was two visits and not just one long visit. I then got an email saying my representations have been noted and considered and they want the name of the person driving, which is fine I am happy to give them my name
However, having looked at the letter from them again the ticket is from the week before when we did go to the retail park as a family and we stayed there ages because I am a blue badge holder and it takes quite a bit of time to get my powered wheelchair in and out the car, it took ages moving around the shops while staying socially distanced from people, I'm on medication which means I have to keep going to the bathroom which meant moving between shops to one that had a disabled toilet, my children have SEN so buying stuff for them takes ages and to be honest it was so nice to be out the house after lockdown we looked in every single shop
I don't know how best to explain all this, I don't want them to think I am lying when it was an honest mistake before and I just got the dates mixed up in my head when I originally disputed the parking ticket. I can't just leave it as the screenshots show the dates of the texts which are six days after when we overstayed the parking limit. I'm probably overthinking this, but what's the best way of correcting my earlier submission?
I've heard so many horror stories of these private parking companies and how cutthroat they are I'm worried about making things worse for myself
