Worn out, not sleepy - going to bed early, what can I watch?

So I’m going to flop into bed, don’t have the patience to read so maybe watch something on the iPad or listen to something?

Any good suggestions - I love a good crime / murder drama.

Have you seen Silent witness? All 23 series are on iplayer. Its much better than I thought it would be!

toffeebutterpopcorn · 19/06/2021 20:46

Of goodness no - I watched that when I was really really paying attention and kept getting confused (I even listened to the podcasts to try to keep up!). I did enjoy it though. Maybe I could start from the beginning...

Nothing with subtitles though - I sometimes do watch french or Italian series’ but I haven’t the patience tonight and my french/Italian isn’t good enough.

Motherland for something lighthearted?

The Good Wife is really good.

GothenburgGirl · 19/06/2021 20:48

I enjoyed Time, on iplayer. It’s only 3 parts, with Sean Bean and Stephen Graham.

In Plain Sight

The good wife is phenomenal

StMarysKettle · 19/06/2021 21:06

Motherland is great, light hearted and easy to watch.

Time was also good

Some good podcasts on BBC Sounds. Who killed Emma, Manhunt Finding Kevin Parle, The Missing Cryptoqueen. True crime type things.

Findahouse21 · 19/06/2021 21:15

New Amsterdam on Prime
This is Us - Prime
Bridgerton - Netflix
Downton Abbey - Prime
Stacey Dooley sleeps over - iplayer
Hospital - iplayer

Flaunch · 19/06/2021 21:16

Downton Abby is a definitely go-to for me when I’m feeling like this but obviously not crime 🤣

Mugsen · 19/06/2021 21:20

Assume nothing: Boy in a Burning Car I found an interesting podcast too. It is very sad though.

I tecently enjoyed Scorpion on Netflix - 4 series drama/comedy about a team of geniuses who help out Homeland security in America. Not 'gritty' at all.

I'm going to watch Numbers next (solving crimes through maths)
