Hi wonderful MN community.
Does anyone have any suggested reads or ref materials for supporting a son through puberty from a mums pov
My DS does have a dad and I co parent, but I don't want to rely on my ex husbands view of things.
Want to be supportive but I don't want to make this really awkward fir my DS.
I noticed my DS has developed rapidly in the last couple of months iyswim.
He's started becoming more private and covering himself up and asking me to leave the room if he needs to change or anything or not come in if he's naked etc.
But I want to be able to support him with any questions he may have or where to go to get answers.
Any advice much appreciated.
We're not religious so wouldn't want a book written in this vein. Thank you

The Usbourne 'What's happening to me'. I gave it to DS when he was 10. He's nearly 12 now and quite 'ahead' puberty wise.. Hair, weight gain, some spots and a lot of sarcastic back chat 😒. I mostly let him look at the book himself but made it clear he could ask me anything. He doesn't like to talk to his dad much about stuff.

Thanks both. Good recommendations.
