How come everyone else looks lovely pregnant

And I looked like one of these?

Walked past a few pregnant ladies this morning and they all.looked so lovely. I've not long given birth but when I was pregnant I looked bloody awful! Is it just me?

Hahah oh tell me about it ! My baby is now 3 months ! I didn’t want to invest too much on maternity clothes as it was lockdown and my hair was in bits, my skin went all greasy and I just looked bloody horrible tbh 🙈🙈

I didn't, I looked like a manatee in a dress.

Haha no not just you. Each pg I was rounder than tall from about 30 weeks. And also v sweaty. Lovely!

Lol when am I going to start "glowing", is what I want to know!! Disrupted sleep, round ligament pain and crying at TV ads has me looking knackered!

I don’t think I look bad with a bump but I’m 27 weeks now and there’s no glow, no lovely hair, I just feel like I’ve got a permanent hangover, dehydrated and tired and grumpy. I swear all this blooming lark is just another myth and a way to make women feel like a failure!

Also I cried this morning because DH told me the spider I rescued out of the bath yesterday fell back in while he had a shower and went down the plug hole. I burst into tears and told DH he was careless and horrible

I didn't, but the real shocker was right after giving birth. The other new mum's looked great, whereas I genuinely looked like a burst paper bag.

A few weeks later I looked fine again, but as God is my witness, I will never go without eyeliner again.

I never looked good pregnant. I was heavily pregnant last year in the heat wave, we went to the beach (live very close) there was a lady must have been around the same due date as me. Looked amazing. She was in a bikini frolicking in the rock pools, with her healthy shiny hair, glowing skin. I was sat on a chair, my partner carried a chair because I had pgp, sweating, greasy, spotty, swollen could barely walk. Felt really rubbish. Now at baby sensory everyone looks glam, on time, clean babies. I arrive a complete mess, late with a baby caked in wheat a bix. How the hell do you get wheat a bix off babies 😵

Ha! In normal times, I have a (fairly nice!) round bum. When I was pregnant and had a round bum and round tummy, it looked like I'd swallowed a comedy sized tic-tac 🙄

I'm sure you look better than you feel!

I knew I gained quite a lot of weight while pregnant, but I was shocked to look back at photos and see my triple chin smiling at me 😂

My hair was great though!

Op, I know how you feel. 😒. I was huge when pregnant even though my baby weighed only 5.5lbs at birth. I also had horrendous nodular cystic acne throughout the pregnancy which has scarred my face. And then, the last six weeks or so, I developed the PUPPP rash. All the other pregnant ladies around me at the time looked glowing and radiant. Sad to say that there are only a three or four photographs of me during that time.

I don't think I ever looked good pregnant but I don't have any photos to prove or disprove it except one that was taken around the 14 week mark so you wouldn't know.

But I didn't enjoy pregnancy either. Maybe if you like being pregnant you look good too?

I think the ladies we see who look beautiful pregnant are probably feeling like crap. And we may feel like we look awful but someone could look at us and think we look nice x

Another poster and I were discussing this elsewhere last night- we decided you either look good but feel shit, or feel great but not look too hot. I looked great last time but felt perpetually shit, I feel fine this time but I look like I'm suffering 🤣
