Feeling of connection with strangers?

Watching the news a few days ago, they showed a town centre somewhere and there was a group of girls walking with their backs to the camera. There was one girl in particular I felt a weird connection to - the coat and jeans she was wearing looked good from a distance, but I also liked her walk somehow. She and her group are probably half my age judging by their clothes, but for a few seconds I wanted to be her.

I'm not sure I've had this happen with a random person in the background on TV before. Can anyone relate to this or am I weird?

I had this once with a man I saw on a train.
No sexual attraction,just a feeling of connection. I have never forgotten it.

Likewise, I've felt this with people on public transport and in the street a few times. It felt extra weird to feel it with a random background person on the news, without even seeing their face.
