What's happened to the Apple podcast app??

I've been out of the loop for a bit with a newborn, and it seems the app has been absolutely buggered up in my absence!

About 75% of the shows in my library have vanished, and it's nigh on impossible to get anything to play! I'm a serial podcast listener and this has driven me up the wall!

This is happening to everyone, right?! Any fix or alternative podcast app recommendations?

I downloaded Overcast. The podcaster app has never been good but this was the final straw! I was listening to the latest episode of a podcast on my way to work, while at work I downloaded to iOS upgrade, and afterwards the very episode I was listening to just disappeared because of this issue we’re it won’t upload the latest episodes. It might be fixed now with a new upgrade but I can’t be arsed.
