I had an infection in my wound and it seemed to clear up with antibiotics. 2 weeks later and it’s back. Not super painful but it’s oozing pus from a small area.

Has anyone had similar? Is this ever going to go away?

I’ve had this. I needed stronger antibiotics which managed to get rid of it. If you speak to a doctor and explain they should be happy to prescribe a different course of antibiotics.

Hope it all works out for you x

And my infection did go away after the second course! The antibiotics also managed to clear up a nasal infection as well, I think they were pretty hardcore. Will see if I can remember what I had.

Thank you! Do you remember if the second lot of antibiotics were the same as the first? I had flucoxocillin (spelling may be wrong!) and the 111 service have prescribed the same again with a higher dose.

They were definitely different than the first. I think if the first don’t work I can’t understand why they would work a second time? It wasn’t flucoxicillin that I had the second time.

I think it was Co-amoxiclav that I had which finally kicked it.

I had something similar with my first c section in 2019. My wound kept stinging and I saw little pus, went to GP and they gave me oral antibiotics. I don't think it cleared it up because I saw white pus again. However I do remember a year later I was all healed and feeling great. Only recently, 3 weeks ago I had another c section and now they suspect I have a uterine infection. I was given amoxicillin first by GP, midwife diagreed with that drug. Now I'm on co-amoxiclav, just started will see how it goes. Although GP wanted me to go hospital and get on antibiotic drip to prevent septicaemia.
