Ages ago, someone posted their amazing list of what cleaning they do each day, each week, every month, every three months, ever year etc. I would love to be pointed in the direction of that post again if anyone remembers it or would love to hear your list of what you do?

I couldn't live like that. But - I admire those who do.

The organised mum method might be what you're looking for?

For me I clean everything only the day before visitors arrive. Grin

I’m going to do all of it before MIL comes over later today. Definitely.

Or maybe not

I'll check out the organised mum thanks! I am also not a dedicated cleaner but I'm trying to start off in my new house as I mean to go on. But can a leopard change its spots??

Hand towels changed twice a week.
Bedding and bath towels once a week.
Valances and mattress covers once a year.
Bathrooms and kitchen every week, including floors.
Dust, polish, hoover upstairs and down weekly, including dusting skirting boards and doors/door frames.
Inside windows done when need doing.
Oven shelves and hob bits go in dishwasher once a week when cleaning kitchen.
I should wash my pottery bits and glass light shades once a year but can’t be bothered !

  • Bathroom and kitchen top to bottom every day - but I have to do that as susceptible to infections that can land me in hospital or dead.
  • hoover downstairs every day. Upstairs with the "big hoover" every other day.
  • dusting lounge, dining room and hallway 3 times a week.
  • bedrooms dusted once a week.

No they can't, it's not worth the risk Grin
