  1. Whenever I hear or read 'dunno' Iin my head I hear 'cm dunno' because if the typing for the confused face
  2. Anytime I hear or read 'roar'- and given I have 2 small children that is daily - in my head i hear it as 'roar fecking roar' because of a poster's username.

Anyone else?!

Some of the usernames make me look twice. Something like
'jeremyclarksonsear' and then every time I see an Amazon ad and Jeremy Clarkson is there and I find myself looking at his ears and wondering which one the poster was talking about and why.

Not sure if that is an actual username but there are lots of similar ones and I always wonder why the mentioned body part was chosen for that particular person.

What do you see in mine? Grin

It is a phrase used by a poster describing shit her exh pulled.

I told her I nicked it and she replied "what an honour!" Blush

Ha! @JesusInTheCabbageVan. I know how you got yours! tickled me at the time! Grin

I’m scared to pop round to visit someone but also scared not to, horribly afraid that I’m defrosting things incorrectly and constantly live in hope I’ll see the one thing on FB Marketplace that will unite everyone in disgust…sorry, discust.

I don't understand this one?!

ErrolTheDragon · 18/06/2021 13:21

Anyone else suffer from a background niggle that one day they'll audibly refer to DD as 'Dee-Dee'?

Me neither Confused

BiBabbles · 18/06/2021 13:29

ErrolTheDragon I haven't worried about saying it (yet), but I've definitely had that niggle when writing emails or responding to something about my children that I need to make sure I don't use DD/DS/DC Blush.

ItsReallyOnlyMe · 18/06/2021 13:33

At work someone used CF for cash flow. I found it hard to read that email.

JackieTheFart · 18/06/2021 13:41

Not particularly MN, but we use the acronym CIS at work which bothers me more than it ought to.

I always think of words like cockwaffle and wankspangle having orginated from here - but if that’s the case then it’s spreading!

My username is from someone years ago who said she had a doll that she gave this name Grin it made me laff so I adopted it!

Oh that's brilliant.....can imagine GrinGrin
Jocasta2018 · 18/06/2021 13:48

It's added to my life.

How else would I know about
'The Dressing-gown of Doom'?

Or feeling 'Fanny Gallops' when I fancy someone?

S111n20 · 18/06/2021 13:49

Nope I don’t.

S111n20 · 18/06/2021 13:53

I now get it 😂

Bootskates · 18/06/2021 13:54

I also have the fear that I will say DD in real life Blush

Soubriquet · 18/06/2021 13:58

Mn has brought the most wonderful phrases such as darked on, spider willies and of course javelin arse

Shannith · 18/06/2021 14:10

I have to physically stop myself referring to DD as DD.

I think all men are bastards Grin

IdblowJonSnow · 18/06/2021 14:13

My husband is definitely 'DH' in my head. Often with the 'D' in an ironic tone.

My life is certainly far less productive for having MN in it... Grin

OrangeSharked · 18/06/2021 14:17

The other day I was typing up some notes for a patient and instead of writing pts daughter I wrote pts DD!

Now I'm panicking about how many notes I've absentmindedly written MN acronyms in Grin

Tangledtresses · 18/06/2021 14:17

There's a heating co near me with a huge CF logo on their vans
I call them the cheeky fucker plumbers 😂

PurplePansy05 · 18/06/2021 14:20

My husband is also "DH", I have to stop myself from dropping it in WhatsApp chats with my friends 🤦🏼‍♀️ 🤣

RubyGoat · 18/06/2021 14:36

The fish slice is ruined for me now. Especially if it's sticky from food...
