Do you read every single cookie notice?

Some websites I go on always seem to have the “do you consent to xyz”

Every single time I visit the site, it comes up. Sometimes it even comes up on mn

I can’t be bothered to read it so I always click yes

Click yes and clear out history every so often.

This drives me mad - why, if I’ve read the thing and consented to cookies, can the site/page not actually use the damn cookies and remember I’ve been there so I don’t have to click it again what is point!!
