You can post multiple times but there must be at least one post in between.

Morning 🙋🏼‍♀️

UnlimitedChipsAndSalsa · 17/06/2021 11:35

@PennyDreadful66

My 4 month old had a lie in this morning till 8.30, that's a whole four hours more than usual - I feel like a new woman!
That sounds glorious!

Changing some wall sockets here so electricity is off, I want to finish watching Greenland later.

ElGuardiandenoche · 17/06/2021 11:54

For those that love reading about ducks then there are some lovely duck threads by @Alanthepig who lets us all live vicariously by her pond but not have the expense of having one 😀

Thanks to everyone who has posted so far! We're nearly a quarter of the way there.

Maybe we need a bridezilla to give us a boost? Or a controversial opinion? For example, I hate watermelon (the first person to say, "Oh but it's so refreshing" will NOT get their name engraved on the filling-up-the-thread trophy).

I’m back, leaving the filth from this morning behind me 👍🏻

I love a good parking thread myself.

UnlimitedChipsAndSalsa · 17/06/2021 12:03

@ElGuardiandenoche So wholesome! Just the balance this thread needs.

@HannaHat Glad you're back with a clean slate and a clean mind. Smile

Signing in! I'm off work, isolating, but I haven't told my one DC who has SEN and would want to stay off with me, so every morning I've followed my same routine, showered, dressed, hair, makeup, tea in travel mug, lanyard on, and then when the taxi arrives and DC goes to school, I go back upstairs and get changed Grin I feel really quite deceitful! And surprised how good I am at the pretence.

FlowerPower3110 · 17/06/2021 12:09

DC are finally down for a nap! Time to do some laundry and clean up the kitchen mess

ISaidDontLickTheBin · 17/06/2021 12:10

Hi all, just jumping on board the thread Smile

I hate watermelon too, strange spongy texture and too many seeds and so big you get a zillion portions from one which need to be used up quickly.

I'll give you a controversial opinion:

Prawn cocktail crisps are the only flavour worth eating. Marks and Spencers is the best but Walkers are also really decent.

HoollyWugger · 17/06/2021 12:16

And a Skip sandwich is just the best!!

Imissmoominmama · 17/06/2021 12:21

What question would you ask a life coach?

BlackeyedSusan · 17/06/2021 12:22

Why?

Aw, that's sweet that you're trying to keep things looking normal. I hope you are feeling well. And remember, the best way to pass the time is to keep posting on this thread!

Because there’s one on fb now asking for questions and I can’t think of anything to ask him Grin.

HoollyWugger · 17/06/2021 12:25

I was fine until yesterday when I was floored by the delta variant of hayfever!! My god, it was horrendous. Quite glad it's not so sunny today. I think if I had been in work I wouldn't have been able to drive home safely. Had to lie down in a dark room with a cold flannel on my eyes Confused

How can you hate watermelon??? Grin

It's one of my favourite fruits!

Cherries (and anything cherry flavoured), on the other hand, are absolutely horrible.

UnlimitedChipsAndSalsa · 17/06/2021 12:31

@FlowerPower3110 Good luck with the kitchen. Don't forget to take lots of breaks (i.e. come back and post)

@ISaidDontLickTheBin Welcome. Please jump many times.

@Gingerkittykat You had me at hating watermelon, but it was short-lived. I'm turning my back on you and your prawn cocktail crisps. An abomination! Grin

OP posts:
ISaidDontLickTheBin · 17/06/2021 12:35

cherry flavoured things are foul but cherries themselves are rather nice. Ditto almonds

I could probably think of quite a few things that would get me kicked out of any group.

Such as does he have any proper qualifications or has he just paid £££££ for a random course

UnlimitedChipsAndSalsa · 17/06/2021 12:37

How about "What's the biggest mistake people in their 40s (or whatever your age bracket is) make?

Right! I need to get off of Mumsnet and go and fix my sewing machine that one of my lovely children has buggered up 🤬

PurpleyBlue · 17/06/2021 12:59

Whats your favourite Harribo? I like the fizzy cola bottles.
