So I've got. 10ft people which the families being enjoying, but now the weathers turning we probably won't be going in it for a while. I've got one of those blue floating chlorine dispensers, and some chlorine tablets - and I'm just wondering if I can just leave the pump/filter off for a few days with the chlorine dispenser in?

I would say no. I run ours at least for a few hours daily, in previous years if I have gone away for a few days I’ve come back to green water. You’ll also need to add algicide once weekly. I think last year we managed to use it between May and August which is the longest we’ve managed by religiously checking the levels/topping up as needed and running the pump daily.

Also check the dispenser daily - until dh took the outside opening and closing layer off it it would randomly close and then stop dispensing

No, you absolutely have to leave the pump on.

Unless you want a green, stagnant body of water that needs to be emptied and scrubbed! It will 'turn' in days.

Yep, still keep the chlorine in and still out the pump on.
