Hi if someone is in a refuge but the stay is only 6 months . What happens after that? Do they go into standard temporary accommodation? I have read that after the stay in the refuge comes to an end you get social housing . But im not sure that would be the case if in London?

If someone is fleeing DA then there I'll be planning as they come to the end of the refuge stay. They are also usually given the highest housing banding so high priority and can be considered for any areas away from the abuser, they don't have to prove a local link like you may have to otherwise.

My daughter fleed dv. And went into standard temporary accommodation. And was out in band 3 =homless which Is the lowest band for that council. When we questioned why she was in a low band. They said well If the ex. found out where she is, she can just be moved to another temporary. And they said band 1 was only for people already in social housing. Hmm

That doesn't sound right. Does she have a support worker from Women's Aid or Refuge?

Yes she has a Idva worker. She's not stayed there yet she was told that on the phone .

I wonder if its worth talking to Shelter, they can give legal advice

Yes band 3 has been standard IME for many counties

Often people are offered an extended stay, appropriate council place (as in size wise) but often many miles away from support networks, or back into the council system in temporary accommodation (not always the right size, and usually out of area but not as many miles from their support networks)
