Mumsnetters - I made a soup today and it was mostly delightful but the beautiful Le Creuset cast iron saucepan we were gifted for our wedding was really not up to the task size wise - cue leakage all over the hob even before I'd even added the final ingredients.
Any recommendations for a good sized saucepan, and since we're buying for ourselves this time probably not Le Creuset?
Something sturdy, fairly affordable although doesn't have to be dirt cheap, that could comfortably make a soup or stew for 4 people without exploding across the kitchen?
Any recommendations much appreciated - we're in the market for a frying pan too while we're at it!
