Can anyone recommend an L shaped shower bath?

We are looking for an L shaped shower bath and wanted to go with Ideal Standard or Carron as we have been happy with the quality previously. Both now have the plug on the side instead of the centre, so the bath base will be sloped a little to one side, which I don’t want. Any recommendations for a good shower bath / another good brand?

Wondering whether the makes on Victorian plumbing etc would be good quality or not - worried they might not be as sturdy?

Thanks :)

I've had a carronite bath that's now 10 years old and still looks new.

Have you thought about a square bottom bath instead of an L shaped one? It gives you plenty of space when using it as a shower and you don't get suctioned to the bottom if you need to loose a bit. BlushGrin

@Kpo58 thanks - actually a square bottom bath is a much better idea. We primarily want something that has a good flat area to stand in for showering so I think that might be a better option - thank you!

Also we are planning to tile the side of the bath instead of using a panel so a straight bath will probably be easier to tile - and look better - than an L shaped one.

We installed this four years ago in our bathroom & have been very happy with it. It provides a good, stable flat area & plenty of space for showering. Whenever we stay in a hotel with a normal shower over bath, I congratulate myself on my excellent choice in my own bathroom as it’s so much nicer to shower in.

We tiled the side as I hate acrylic panels.

@Porridgeislife

Thanks, That's the exact one we were looking at .... hmmm undecided now between that and and a square bottom rectangular bath 🤔

Btw, I like your username 😊 we have a lot of porridge in this house!

Haha thanks. I have it every morning without fail Blush

My reservation about square bottom baths is that to my mind they’re the worst of both worlds. Horrible to take an actual bath in, and you don’t get the extra space that an L shape bath gives you.

I have recently moved and now have (I think) this exact shower/bath and it is great. I shower, my children choose shower or bath.
