You might be better to pop over to the Menopause board, there's lots of really good advice and discussions on there OP

here's an example Smile

Definitely go over to the Menopause section. Loads of good advice to be found there.

We are very lovely on the Menopause board, for anyone reading Smile

HRT was and is a lifesaver for me. Absolutely no adverse effects.

@Aquamarine1029 How long were you on it for?

Been on it 2 years (I’m 45) and you’d have to prize it from my cold dead hands if you wanted to take me off it. Total game changer and I can’t recommend it enough.

As for the side effects, check out the work of people like Louise Newson, Who is campaigning to get the information leaflets updated with the correct risk info rather than old data.

Aquamarine1029 · 14/06/2021 22:59

I started at 41 and am still on it at 48. Absolutely no plans to stop.

SpindleWhorl · 14/06/2021 23:24

I've been on it for over 6 years. It's been very positive.

Brilliant for me, stopped the hot flushes and the cystitis that (in another age before antibiotics) would probably have killed me eventually. Have been on it for years now and GP says as far as she is concerned I can stay on it forever.
