Because of the newest announcement, there has been an email sent out this evening changing a few things at our workplace. One of the changes I can't stick to, just due to the nature of my position. I have asked my boss for clarification and his response is that it is up to me to maintain my safety while still forfilling my role, that I should still be able to forfil my obligations and if I have taken advantage of the vaccine I should be relatively safe regardless.
I feel like that's un acceptable as it seems like its a tough shit style answer.
He doesn't want to change what I do, even though he could, so I am in a less 'safe' situation than others.
Do you think work regulations should be standardised or is this acceptable?
I'm not in any high risk category, have worked throughout but I am getting fed up with jumping through hoops that others are avoiding.
