Was supposed to be going to the lakes. But my sister has Covid. Looking for other ideas!

I have a hotel booked in Liverpool so though I could go to Shrewsbury or Iron bridge, if they are worth it.

Ironbridge has lots of stuff if you're interested in Industrial Revolution type history. Enginuity is more child focussed but the rest is more historical. Blists Hill looked good but not seen what it's doing in Covid times. Severn Valley Railway (Bridgnorth) not far away either. Shrewsbury is pretty and quaint, more Cadfael and before. Nice farm shop at the Battlefield.

Shrewsbury is pretty. I love Ironbridge and planning to return later this year, The Blists Hill Victorian Town living museum there is excellent

Both are lovely for a wander and coffee. Shrewsbury has some lovely shops and the quarry is nice for a picnic.

Great thanks!

Lovely NT place a few miles away - Attingham Park. But I’m not sure about opening/booking etc

Attingham park is on my list, but most of the house is closed. So will leave that for another time.

Shrewsbury and Ironbridge are both a fairly long way from Liverpool. Chester is nearby and has a similarity to Shrewsbury.
