Mine is that there's an environmental crisis (no shit Sherlock!) where the leaders of the world have decided that we're all going to take it on the chin and reduce flights/purchases etc as if we don't we're all dead in a decade

Now I know that the environment is fucked but obviously the world govts wouldn't actually do anything about that

Neither entertaining or new, but my nonagenarian parent is convinced there was a government conspiracy to wipe out as many pensioners as possible.
