What do you make of this interview?

I had an interview for a role last monday. Went well generally, I was asked salary expectations, what my notice period is, what hours id want to work, and if I had any other interviews coming up, so all generally positive questions. I was also told that they'd likely offer me a different role to the one they were interviewing for, I said id also be interested in that role, and the interview was closed by them saying 'we'll be in touch'. Since then ive heard nothing. What does everyone think? On the one hand I think its good considering the questions they asked, and the fact they said they'd offer me a role during the interview, but on the other hand im not so sure as I havent heard anything.

In my company, hiring managers are usually trying to juggle interviews etc alongside their day jobs. They may also have had to scatter their interviews throughout the week. Definitely sounds positive (though we ask salary/notice/interview questions as standard).

I think a week is long enough that it would be ok for you to send a light and breezy “just to thank you again for your time last week blah blah blah, do you know when I might hear back?” type email.
