Practical driving test

How the hell do I book one ? All I can do is select one date at a time on the calendar and then put my postcode in for it to tell me no date available on every single one.
Surely I can't just go through the whole calendar date by date everyday, is this what I'm meant to be doing or am I missing something?

If you can find a date and venue somewhere (even if unsuitable) and book a test, you can then get an app which alerts you to cancellations. DD1 has a test booked at a date and venue she can't do, but is now signed up to 2 different apps which notify her of cancellations (though she hasn't so far been quick enough to book any of them). Good luck! It's a mess...

We did what Bram said. Booked one so far in advance it was ridiculous but, at least when booked, we could then sign up to Testi and get a sooner date - which we did almost immediately! Stoopid system!

That's it, I will book any I can get really and then amend it if I need too but I can't get one at all! I was up at 6 and gone through two months worth of dates, nothing !

Can't even get through to dvsa to ask about when I should be looking availability wise!
I can't click on one date at a time multiple times a day it's ridiculous

Could you try a different centre? Where I live you haven't got a chance at three of the nearest centres but at another one they have dates available.

I think someone on another thread last night said they had booked one in Glasgow when they lived in Stoke on Trent!

oreosoreosoreos · 15/06/2021 09:34

You’re probably looking too soon then - the soonest availability without getting a cancellation is likely to be next year, unless you are in a particularly quiet area of the country.

drivingtesthelp · 15/06/2021 09:36

Glasgow!!! 😩😩
I've looked for February and March next year, still zilch. I just don't see how you are expected to check multiple times a day one day at a time month by month. Even if one does come available the chances are I'll end up missing it due to having to check that way

Got one 😆 omg that was one of the most stressful things I've done in a while

Great news @drivingtesthelp! Hope that means you'll be able to find a more suitable one soon.
