Does it? Any situations where you've just had to be direct?

Kill who?

What sort of situations?

My sister told me she was trying that approach towards my emotionally abusive ex husband. He just thought she still really liked him and therefore thought I was in the wrong. I had to ask her to kill him with unkindness instead so he would get the message.

'Kill them with kindness' is usually spouted by the egocentric, and those with no self awareness.

Same as the 'be kind', 'they are just jealous', 'they are a narcissist' brigade.

Ironically, the people saying those things usually see others as bit-part players in their lives. They don't recognise that other people have motivations, feelings, histories, and desires, of their own. They see others as puppets, playing a part around their own lives.

Act with reason, consider other's trials and experiences, don't live your life via Facebook mantras, and you'll be better off for it.
