I walk a lot already (usually do between 7-14k most days)
I’m looking for toning so I can lose weight and tone up. Maybe a YouTube recommendation, if anyone has one?

I've been doing Lilly Sabri workouts on YouTube for the past few weeks and am definitely toning up and have lost weight.

When I was young I used to have 3 songs I would play after work every day that made me jump up and down.

Happiness by pizzaman was one I remember!

Heart rate jumping arms everything involved.

If you can do the full 15 mins non stop full pelt then that's impressive Grin

Great! Thank you Smile

I bought some ankle weights. I put those on and dance to 4 songs, whilst waving small hand weights around. Cheap, fun, silly and gotta be better than nothing!

SylviasMotherSaid · 13/06/2021 23:47

Lucy Wyndham Reed on you tube is really good and has lots of quick workout sessions . Once you have done it once just listen to it on mute and play your own music and it will fly in .

NiceGerbil · 13/06/2021 23:50

Had some ankle weights and wrist ones as well! You could hold some of the ones they have now I think.

BertieBotts · 14/06/2021 08:15

30 day shred.

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 14/06/2021 08:17

Ive been doing Joe Wicks body coach workouts. I sometimes get distracted by his thighs though !

tinyradish · 14/06/2021 08:19

Definitely weights if you want to tone up. Toning up is building muscle and losing fat so you can see the muscle!

Fitnessblender have really good short workouts...I usually just type into YouTube 'fitnessblender quick arms/legs/full body/whatever you're after.' :)

Do you think a rebounder in a 3rd floor flat will offend my neighbours below?
Figgyboa · 14/06/2021 16:01

Honestly, not a whole lot in 15 mins. Toning = building muscle so you need to be doing weighted workouts. Not ankle or wrist weights, they place undue strain. Try a kettlebell - swings, squats, arm presses, dumbbell - squats, bicep/tricep curls etc.

Polkadots2021 · 14/06/2021 17:08

If you want ultimate results spend 15 mins a day doing squats to fatigue in between sets of dumbbell exercises for all major muscle groups & you'll get the biggest bang for your buck (I'm a PT...simple is best, old school basics are still the most effective!).

OneofPansPeople · 14/06/2021 17:13

Is a rebounder a good toner?

Not sure I can lift my arm high enough to high five Grin
LostInTime · 14/06/2021 23:48

Sorry @Polkadots2021 what does "squats to fatigue" mean? Just until you can't do any more of them?

Miarara · 14/06/2021 23:59

Bailey Brown on YouTube has loads of short 15 minute ones
