How do you deal with people like this? A good friend of mine is like this - she seems suspicious of peoples motives. An example: she received a text from her mum saying something nice about her kids with a tagged on message at the end about them being little monkeys or something. She has taken this to mean that her mum is implying that the children are badly behaved and need pulled into line.
Various other incidents like this have happened and now I'm second guessing everything I say or text to her in case it gets taken the wrong way. She's not the only person I know like this and it really bothers me that so many people seem to be wary of others intentions. Does anyone else have friends/family like this?
