Healthy snacks to take to hospital

Preferably not needing a fridge.

3 day admission coming up for toddler and I don't think either if us will be a fan of the in house cuisine!!!

With Covid I'm not sure if we can leave or not so want to take stuff with me.

So far I have oatcakes, nuts (for me), dried fruit and a few Ella's Kitchen pouches for little one.

I'm a fatty so missing a few meals isn't going to do me any harm, but it's going to be miserable enough without us being hangry.

Personally I would take plenty of treats / snacks that aren’t healthy as well as you’ll need something to cheer you up!

3 days in a cooler bag I expect fruit will be ok. I always find hospitals dehydrating!!
In the custard/jelly section of supermarket are mini custard and rice pudding pots that don’t need to be in fridge.
I’d take things like Ritz biscuits, Asda do fruit pouches that don’t have to be in a fridge. Like Ella’s Kitchen but much cheaper.

There’s always sandwiches on menu instead of hot meals in hospt I have found. Good luck!!

When I accompanied DS in hospital fur 9 days, only ds got meals, I had to go to the hospital canteen, which was actually ok. A nurse “babysat” fir us one evening and we went for Fish n Chips one too.

You might have access to a kettle - so mugshots?
