How to get newborn to sleep in cot?

We have a 4 days old, baby won't sleep in the cot- only in her rocker chair, any suggestions to get her to sleep in her cot?

Feed or rock to sleep, then hold for another 20/30 minutes until they're in a deeper sleep - you can tell from how their breathing sounds. Then lower into the cot very slowly. That's what worked for me, all babies are different though! And they just do need a lot of holding close in the early days. I'd say don't stress too much about the cot and enjoy the snuggles too
