What’s Happening In Your House?

Beautiful weather - I feel that we should be out somewhere but it’s hard to get DD12 out of the house a lot of the time. She did go out with a friend earlier & got a bit sunburnt but at least she left her room! I worked today & really struggled as we don’t have air con, only a fan on the till. DD is having McDonald’s. DH & I will have a chippy tea later. BBQ tomorrow ( first one this year). I may be having a cheeky Chardonnay or 3! We are planning to look at memorial plaques online for our 2 bunnies. The vets were absolutely lovely both times, sending cards & forget me not seeds.

Sitting here drinking coffee and watching Buster on the telly.

Not very interesting, sorry!

We had a dinner party for DH's work, now have loads of clearing up to do but we will leave it till the morning Grin so nice to have a party though! And I have had slightly too much to drink

DH working in the front room, son in his room (maybe sleeping; he’s been playing cricket all day) and I’m in bed! Not very exciting.

Utility room has been cleaned, old cupboard taken out and tumble drier put in so looks much better. Some hoovering and tidying of downstairs.

Been looking up home ed options and GCSE centres and schools and taking antibiotics for an infection. Salad for dinner and lots of homemade lemonade. Did a short aerobics video. Bedding been washed.

So nothing very exciting here. Sorry to hear about your bunnies. We have an indoor rabbit, lost one last year but he has adopted DS as his new mate and they are inseparable. He tried to bond with the 16 year old cat first but she was having none of it, didn't appreciate him trying to jump on top of her, and has developed an evil glare to look at him though he still gazes at her. DS and rabbit are often found snuggled up together on the sofa.

I got both my children to sleep by 8.15pm. Considering it's been more like 11pm all this week this is a triumph of epic proportions. I also finished a DIY project to get rid of something that has aggravated and upset me since I moved in 2.5 years ago. I am so happy about it I am almost euphoric. Tomorrow I'm finishing the tidy up and doing some gardening, plus me and the kids are going to finish watching a film.

Tomorrow DD is off down to London to meet friends. DH is cleaning out the silkie chickens flooring and coop.

topcat2014 · 12/06/2021 23:03

Also watching buster!

blahblahblah321 · 12/06/2021 23:05

DH and I are watching Notting Hill, dog is flat on her back snoring at my feet.

DS2 has a friend over for a sleep over

scaredsadandstuck · 12/06/2021 23:08

I have 5 13 year old boys here for a sleepover 😭😭😭

featherbird · 12/06/2021 23:14

Eating cheese on toast 😋 and watching googlebox

Hughbert · 12/06/2021 23:19

Watching Notting Hill, drinking water. One cat running round madly, the other has gone AWOL and refusing to come in when called, so I'm up till she comes home.

I’m sitting in the garden in the pitch black listening to the water dripping off my hanging baskets. It’s very relaxing.
