That they are bright red and very burnt!

They are alone so may not have realised!

Are they asleep?

blahblahblah321 · 12/06/2021 15:56

Gosh definitely say something!

I got burnt on a UK beach several years ago, didn't realise until several hours into the evening (I just continued burning!)

I ended up with a malignant melanoma diagnosis 3 years later. Luckily found early, but in exactly the area that burnt to a crisp. Dermatologist said it was very likely caused by me burning

Hopdathelf · 12/06/2021 16:02

Can you offer them something rather than coming out and saying it? Maybe some after sun?

Onceuponatime1818 · 12/06/2021 16:06

Done it! Thanks for confidence boost! She looks a bit embarrassed but then said thanks and put on cream! She’ll be sore tonight!!!!

Well done for saying something.

But why so people not realise putting on cream and staying in sun whilst burnt doesn't stop not getting worse or protect you.

I'm still amazed how many people don't realise you also have to apply sun cream 20 before exposure to sun.

So many fat bellied men in deckchair all day wondering why they are bright red at sunset

Staffy1 · 12/06/2021 16:44

Glad you told her. I think someone saved my life by saying to their friends "someone's cooking themself" while walking past me on the beach many years ago. This was about midday. I had planned to stay all day but this comment made me leave shortly afterwards and I still ended up with heatstroke and the worst sunburn I have ever had.
