We're driving home from holiday today up the M5 and wondered if anyone knew a good place to stop and stretch legs/cafe/loo?

Pref near Birmingham / past Bristol to try and get worst of the traffic out of the way.

TIA

What age kids, what sort of cost? Do you want something to do/see or just nice environment.

Duvetstay · 12/06/2021 07:47

Primary age kids... Not to pay a lot as just planning to be an hour or two

Lickey hills, clent hills and waseley hills are all m5 side of brum, Lickey and waseley both have cafe and play park- you have to pay to park at waseley, I think Lickey is free.

Worcester Woods is def a good bet - theres a big play area, nice woodland to walk through, and the cafe is great. Free parking, and 5 min off the motorway

Theres a lovely place called Lizzies Farm literally 1 mile off Junction 4 of M5 near Bromsgrove. A few farm animals and good courtyard cafe, countryside surroundings and no entrance fee.

Worcester woods is usually heaving at the mo. Lizzies farm is basically a cafe (nice cake) with some animals to look at and run around. I’d recommend that.

It's going to be a really hot Saturday, I think many places will be very busy TBF.
