Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser

I've really enjoyed making delicious hot chocolates with my velvetiser and have used lots of different milks before and they have all been great.

I was just absent mindedly reading the box the sachets came in and it says you can also use water.

Has anyone ever done this?

I currently have no milk (of any type) and really fancy a hot chocolate!

I haven't but if you fancy it then try it

We stopped using their chocolate and just use cadburys hot chocolate mix now. I know they have some you mix with water so can't see why not.

I've tried with water. It still tastes good, but somehow just slightly less luxurious. I love the froth when using milk

@areallthenamesusedup - what is it like made with Cadbury's? I wanted a velvetiser, but my DC insisted they would never drink any hot chocolate that wasn't Cadbury's Hmm

I love ours. I’ve never tried with water, but we often just use plain milk for coffee and it works well enough adding other brands hot chocolate :) Cadbury’s is fine though if you want a cheaper “proper chocolate” alternative you can get this lovely grated chocolate in a tin from Whittards.

My kids love the Cadbury’s hot chocolate. Super tasty.

I use a splash of double cream and top up with water, but I'm sure just water would be fine - give it a go and let us know how it is :)

We haven't tried it with water yet but I love it with oat milk. Sorry, that's not very helpful!
