Civil service interview help

Hi, I have been selected for a few interviews but I am not passing. I normally use the same example that I have submitted in my application, just change slightly if need to respond the questions. I have been using all the feedback to improve but still not helping. Although I have a very strong foreign accent. Any suggestions would be appreciated, please? Many thanks

For starters, concentrate on answering the question rather than reciting a rehearsed example. As an interviewer in civil service I hate listening to rehearsed responses - there is rarely enough detail in them and almost always it doesn’t answer the question if asked.

What feedback did you get?

Thank you. In one interview I had 7 for strengths, making e decision 4, W.together 3, delivering at peace 3, communicating 2, leadership 2. Behaviours total 14. On other interviews I got 4, 3, 3 and 2. One feedback that I have not demonstrated enough C2 behaviours.

Strengths are out of 4, how many questions were there? Can’t tell if 7 is good or bad.

On the 1-7 scale for behaviours 4 is decent but 3s and 2s are basically a fail. If your examples got you through the application sift let’s assume they are good enough, so I’d say it’s because you’re not giving enough detail.

Hi Doorhandleghost thank you. 3 strengths questions. However, strengths questions is a bit confused for me, some people say that we have 2 mins to respond with a simple example on the things we do regularly, do well and that motivates us but I had an interview that I have started to give an example but the interviewer has cut me off, and said that she just need one word not example. It is so confused and because my accent I need to talk slowly to make sure that interviews understand me and ask questions about my example. I am getting frustrated because I don’t know more how to improve and get a job offer. Thank you
