Geeky question on WhatsApp photos & meta data

So if I send some photos to someone via WhatsApp and they save them to their camera roll (whether manually or because that’s the way their settings are), will the photos save in date order of when I sent them or when I took them?

I have an iPhone if that makes an difference

When they save from Whats App, it will save in date order of when saved, not when taken. I don’t think iPhones have an easy way to filter the photos like Android does unless newer models now do.

Order of when you sent them. The file name changes (includes WA in the file name in case you're checking) when it's sent from your device via WhatsApp
