So. I was listening to Zoe Ball this morning and Joe Wicks came on which got me thinking...

He's a really nice bloke. But I really don't like him! So unmanly and squeaky of voice!

Same with Michael Ball. Annoying grin and smugness!

This is totally lighthearted by the way, but are there any celebs that are totally lovely, but you can't stand them? And why?

Mel and Sue. I found them really irritating when they were doing Bakeoff, even though they were lovely to the contestants.

Susan Calman - I'm fully aware she's a big mumsnet fave, but I just don't see the appeal & her voice annoys me.
Alison Hammond -just too try hard with the larger than
life personality.

I didn’t like Joe Wicks but then I heard his episode of Desert Island Discs and heard him in a whole new way. It was totally heartbreaking - he grew up with a drug addict father and a mother with OCD. I don’t begrudge him his cheery adult persona any more.

I didn't ever taken to Alan Davies - now I know a little more about his life, it's understandable that he is as he is - it will never mean that we'd like each other.

One of my friends was on Mary Berry's program when she went about the country finding interesting food. He said she wouldn't even give him the time of day between takes and just spoke to the production team.
So Mary Berry - for being fake.

The geordie guy on countryfile, he used to be on the One Show. I feel rage whenever I hear his voice. Also, Dermot O'Leary for no reason at all, just that he annoys me.

I agree with pps re.Peter Andre. I don't know what it is, maybe too nice, and we can't cope ( I've seen him in an interview regarding cancer, and he was totally overwhelmed - so, a nice guy), but I still don't like him. Probably says more about me than him.
Ruth Holmes. I have no experience of second families, but my sister says she saw her once in an interview and she was all for her own kids, totally disregarding Eamon's. This pissed her off, so since then, I feel she's false !

Absolutely no one made me the thread police but when you hear of someone being refered to as a cunt and 'Wtf is going on with her mouth' it' beyond light-hearted as the Op said it was going to be and has become quite nasty.
