I've decided on a Ford because they have a dealership locally, where I've always had excellent service and it makes life simple to be able to walk home after dropping the car for a service .
I know there are reasons not to buy a Ford and not to use the dealer for servicing, but that part of the decision is made
Until recently we had two cars. A Landrover Discovery which was DH's pride a joy, but which I hated and a Fiesta which I mostly drove, but which DS1 also uses. I love the little Fiesta.
I sold the Landrover when DH became too ill to drive and we've been managing fine with one car...until, I now realise, DS and I started actually going places!
So I'll keep the oldish Fiesta for DS1 and DS2 (when he passes his test) to use and I need a new "family" car.
However, the family now consists of me and two just adult sons. We are rarely all in the car together.
Will I regret getting a Fiesta or should I go for a Focus or maybe a Kuga?
Budget is fairly generous as I have the proceeds of the Landrover, but I don't want anything flash. That was one of the reasons I hated the Discovery.
