Tell me how your bad day turned into a good day in the end

Yesterday after a shitty day at work, a £10 note blew out of my opened handbag while I was getting into the car and just to top it all off I couldn't catch it as it went off in a gust of wind... last night while paying bills etc I logged in to check my premium bonds (not expecting to win anything of course) and saw that I won £500 in this months draw! That made my day tbh... I know it's not a huge amount of money but it's 4 weeks grocery shopping to usSmile

Gaaw, that’s great op! I haven’t had the easiest day - my gran passed away yesterday, she and my whole family live abroad and between COVID restrictions and quarantines I couldn’t have the chance to say goodbye. The funeral was today (we’re Jewish and don’t hang around on burying the dead). DH and I are on holiday at the seaside and today took our three year old to an amusement arcade. We were all a bit fed up and sad but she insisted. At some point we ended up playing air hockey and she was howling with laughter and giggling, just engrossed in it. It turned my whole day around seeing how happy she was.

@EssentialHummus so sorry about your Gran Thanks ((hugs)) but she would have been happy your little girl had a happy time at the seaside which made you feel better. Almost like she was comforting you from afar...

Oh how lovely for you op, what a win. I posted on a group for advice and received exactly what I needed that will solve a problem I've had for about 2 years, so it's ended well here.

@MistySkiesAfterRain I'm glad to hear you received the advice you needed which will help you going forward...
