Help, our house is full of mites :(

Hiya

Me and my husband have moved into our new house which we have renovated. We've plastered the whole house and everything is brand new. For some reason we've got loads of mites, they've been here since the winter. They're in every room, in the bathroom and even noticed them on our bedsheets. We just don't know where they are coming.

I've attached a photograph of them, has anyone experienced these in their house before and how did you get rid of them. We've sprinkled powder on the floors but they're everywhere.

Thanks in advance.

I would get a pest expert in.

You need pest control firm

MistySkiesAfterRain · 10/06/2021 18:29

Rentokil. I had them in for a moth infestation.

They may be something called psosids which I believe can be attracted by new plaster. We had a small infestation when we had a new kitchen plastered. I think we just ensured there was no available food for them by keeping things like flour, sugar etc in air tight boxes and they eventually went.

Omg I’ve searched high and low for answers to this. We have the exact same problem, renovated our house and plastered every wall but have noticed the same small bugs everywhere, please can u message again if you find how to get rid

Did these go???? I’m in the same situation except mine is a new build!

Mollie5 · 13/05/2024 00:10

@mummyto2under2 I had them for about a year and then they gradually went by themselves. The pest control were useless. I ended up using a pest spray and hoovering them daily. I hope you can get rid of them sooner.
