Someone banged into my belly

Im 21 weeks and 2 days and someone bumped into me yesterday and banged the side of my bump, it hurt for a couple of minutes but hasn't since and I have no bleeding and have felt baby move since. I called the midwife who didn't seem to bothered and just said I should be careful with my bump!! Has anyone else had a bang on their bump? I'm first time mum to be and freaking out

You'll be fine, baby is well padded. I fell over on the ice with my first one, sitting down but an all round jolt none the less. Kepp an eye out for any discomfort but also remember that woman in history had much more phyiscally involved pregancies than we had (and babies lived in unheated houses etc.) and didn't come to harm. Congratulations on your pregnancy. Enjoy the rest of it.

Somebody barreled into me when I was a bit further along than you with my first. That baby's 17 now, and currently out at college. As long as you can feel your baby moving well, it should be OK.

I fell down the stairs at five months while carrying my toddler, everything was fine but my back took the brunt of it.

You can go for a movement check if you’re worried, no one should make you feel weird about it, I went twice during my pregnancy and they were brilliant

I knew where I was in my fortnightly growth spurt cycle when I kept whacking things like cupboard doors into it. It bloody hurt as it was hyper sensitive where it stretched so rapidly. Baby didn't notice in his olympic sized swimming pool.

I had a car crash when 6months pg with dc3. Wrote my car off smashing in the whole front of it in rather dramatic fashion. Totally my fault Blush
Called the midwife, she said as long as I was feeling the baby move and there was no abnormal bleeding not to worry.
They’re extremely well protected in there!
I’m sure you’re both okay Op, can be a bit of a shock though Flowers

I tripped over the cat and went flying when I was heavily pregnant. No harm done. Well, to my baby. I was bloody hurt!

If you haven't had any problems then I think you can be assured there's no damage. They are pretty well padded in there, try not to worry.

Yup me too, bumped with a shopping trolley (was 10 years ago) I went in to be monitored and baby was just fine and remains so, now playing minecraft!
