What is best to use on my 3 month babies dry face?

He has red patches on his face, which seem like they are itch as my son constantly rubs his face with his Mittens. Health visitor suggested vaseline but that hasn't worked. Can anyone suggest what is best for my sons dry, red, patchy skin? He is 3 months.

The lanolin/lanisoh nipple cream works wonders on my kid’s faces whenever they’ve got dry patches/rashes, etc

The child’s farm moisturiser is really good for dry skin. It has lots of good reviews for eczema as well. I’ve been using it on my scaly(!) 5 week old and she’s soft and squishy now

My daughter was the same. My Health Visitor suggested good quality olive oil. I was a bit skeptical at first but it really did seem to help.
