Recommended me the perfect pillows!

I feel pillows never last and I'm buying new ones about once a year (maybe slightly exaggerating) because they go lumpy or flat or both.

So can you help me find the perfect pillows? I like medium- firm and for them to be easy to fluff up so they look nice when the bed is made! Thank you!

Me too! that's very weird cos I saw an advert last night and lady snuggling back to sleep bed with these 4 big, fat, white pillows and coloured throw on bottom of bed.....I want those pillows!

Simba pillow! I bought one in a fit of pique after being very fed up of neck ache and it is wonderful. Expensive but wonderful!

Otty! Best pillow I've ever had.

Iorderedyouapancake · 10/06/2021 13:24

I love my dunlopillo

amusedbush · 10/06/2021 13:28

I bought a Simba pillow and I hated it so much I felt sick thinking of the money I’d spent on it. I went back and forth with the company and they finally agreed to let me return it for a refund.

I’ve gone back to my £10 John Lewis pillow, which is brilliant for the money. I like the firm-extra firm one but they have one to suit everyone. They plump up nicely and last ages.

I bought some wool pillows last year because I was fed up searching for the ideal pillow. You can buy extra wool if you like a firmer pillow.

Another vote for wool pillows - I'm allergic to down and didn't like the idea of synthetic.

Amandasummers · 10/06/2021 13:46

I dread to think how much money I’ve wasted on pillows throughout my life. Am yet to find a good one!!

supercritter · 10/06/2021 13:55

I like my latex pillow

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 10/06/2021 13:56

My tempur pillow has lasted 3 yrs and it's as new.

Absolutely love it

DuesToTheDirt · 10/06/2021 14:21

I got a shaped memory foam one a while ago from VectorAcc1 on Amazon. Very different from what I've had before but I love it. Not washed it yet mind you.

youngestisapsycho · 10/06/2021 14:22

I have the dunlopillo... they are amazing.

headshoulderskneesandtoe · 10/06/2021 14:35

Another vote for Dunlopillo. Well worth the initial cost.

RubyGoat · 10/06/2021 14:46

I have severe dust allergies, & both DH & DD are sweaty beasts, so our pillows need to be synthetic but highly washable. I got DH one from The Fine Bedding Company a few years ago, it specifically states that it “loves to be washed”. Good thing as his pillow was always rancid by the end of summer & I was constantly binning them despite changing his pillowcases daily. Now we all have them & they are all washed at least 3-4 times a year. Still great, fresh smelling & not lumpy.

Silent night air max pillows. Go read the reviews. I've never been happier with a pillow.

Thanks all - off to research these suggestions!!

@ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba I'm stalking everyone who has an Otty mattress! Do you know which model Otty you have? I need to order a new mattress to replace 14 yr old memory foam one
ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 10/08/2021 12:15

@amazonianwoman

no idea what model, there's no info on it anywhere.
it's to fit a king size bed

CuriousaboutSamphire · 10/08/2021 12:27

I gave up and went for memory foam pillows. I am a side sleeper, DH a back sleeper so we went with ones that supported our sleeping habits.

Took a while to get used to it but OMG! It makes a huge difference.

The Tempur one is great but check out Dunelm - they have some good ones that are half the price - Dorma and their own brand.

jingscrivvens · 10/08/2021 12:44

We bought these Mlily pillows 3 years ago and I would never go back! sorted out my back pain and they feel comfy even though they're pretty flat and I sleep on my side. Can't get on with other flat pillows though, and if I'm staying somewhere else I'll use 2 'normal' pillows

I have four big fat white pillows and a coloured throw. I put all the pillows on the other side and use a silk stuffed pillow at night so comfy. It's a square euro one so it's on the bed as a decorative cushion during the day.

A bit of me finds it ridiculous that I have five pillows for one person but my bed is so nice.
