Moving back from abroad after a decade away next year but doing some reccies this summer for areas and importantly schools so wondering great hive mind anyone’s specific feedback on the following areas or suggestions for others:
Hassocks/Keymer/Hurst/Ditchling
Folkstone/Hythe maybe up to Canterbury
Chichester and it’s surrounds
Winchester/Chandlers Ford
Horsham/Billingshurst
Shoreham-Worthing
Parameters:
Good state primary (though youngest will only have 1 year left)
Good state secondary (excellent pastoral care, experience with kids coming from different education systems - honestly I don’t think eldest will get into a grammar so there’s that - will be going into year 9)
Drivable to coast (20mins ish)
1.5hrs on train to London
Adjacent/accessible to a big town or city but prob looking to live on the edges
3-4bed detached house for up to £2750/month or buy up to £800K max
The schools thing is what’s stressing me out the most so if anyone has good or bad things to say about these areas I’d be so grateful
