Has anyone stayed in a UK campsite that has glamping pods like these? If so, which one?

I stayed in one of these camping pods at a campsite in Scotland this week and I thought it was a lovely pod, lots of light, comfortable double bed, underfloor heating and mood lighting. Much nicer than the usual windowless, empty wooden shed.

I'd quite like to stay in one for a longer holiday and wondered if anyone had come across any similar pods on sites, preferably in the North of England (Northumberland/Yorkshire/Cumbria) or Scotland.

Funnily enough I went to this place for lunch and a walk today. I had a good look around their pods and they are not quite as posh as your scottish ones, but still lovely.

Quarry walk park in Derbyshire. So might be a bit far south for you. Had two nice holidays here last year, and PILs stayed in the Pods while we camped.

A company called Wigwam Holidays offers them all over the place. You can even have a hot tub.

@NannyR I recognised that picture as soon as you put it up. Glen Nevis is magical and every time I go back I just totally relax and all my worries disappear. It was my home for over a decade so maybe that helps. Grin

Wellington Farm in Cockermouth Cumbria has lovely pods with private hot tubs.

NannyR · 08/06/2021 22:41

@GearChange it was such a lovely campsite, I was only there one night at the end of walking the West Highland Way, but could have quite happily stayed there for the week.

This place near Ullswater is great. Mix of pods, hobbit holes and gingerbread houses, plus pitches.
Can't recommend this site enough, we love it.
