Walking Ideas

Can anyone recommend a good website or a forum to get ideas for long walks and hikes? I would ideally like to go on some guided walks if possible, but I’m struggling to find any.

I was looking at a Peak District website the other day that advertised guided walks:

peakdistrict.cinolla.com/ranger/

I also like the Walking Englishman and Christopher Somerville, who writes the walking features in the Times on Saturdays

www.walkingenglishman.com/

www.christophersomerville.co.uk/

I've also found that local councils and national park authorities publish walks on their website and I think the Ordnance Survey has user uploaded walks that are accessible if you subscribe to their electronic maps service.

An OS subscription is excellent value BTW, either a couple of quid a month or about £20 a year, for which you get access to the entire country's leisure maps. You can get it all on your phone, but I think this relies on having a data signal, so I also download a PDF of the section I'm walking and print it out and highlight my intended route on it.

Thank you both so much, I’ll have a look at the websites you sent now. And I’m in the U.K. BackforGood - I should have made that clear in my OP!
And thanks for the ordnance survey suggestion BarbaraofSeville that’s a great idea.
