Is there any garden furniture in stock ANYWHERE?

Renovated our garden this year and gutted we can't buy any furniture for it!

Looking for a corner sofa set with a couple of extra chairs or a bench. To sit around 6. Preferably not rattan but I'll take what I can get at this point. Not really fussy about colour.

Looking to spend below £1000 if possible but could go a little over.

Looked in the local garden centre which was lovely but it was SO expensive.

Anyone have any ideas?
B&q, Argos, wickes etc all completely out of stock. Is it like this every year or is it covid/brexit related?

I've been having the same issues and have decided to write off garden furniture this year and try again next year.

Google Next Garden Furniture. My sister got hers there.

I briefly read an article about this, the blockage of the Suez canal being a major factor, covid, a sprinkling of Brexit and it has caused the perfect storm.

Maybe there has been panic buying after the stories about shortages. I read the same as @AfternoonToffee about this.

My Mum wanted a new table, someone round the corner from her had one put out their front, so I knocked and asked if I could have it.

DropItBouncer · 08/06/2021 19:48

I was looking for a corner sofa well before the Suez Canal debacle. The only place i have seen any in stock at a decent price is The Range.

We want to replace our cheap old knackered stuff with the same cheap but new from Ikea. All out of stock but I don't know if that applies to all their stuff, or just what we want.

But try Ikea, John Lewis, the Range, Dunelm, Wayfair.

On the matter of why, I think it's a perfect storm of Covid (people are spending money not spent on holidays or commuting on doing up gardens, that of course are being used more, there was also a big shortage last year so some people who couldn't buy last year might have got some early this year) plus Brexit and the Suez Canal blockage was just the icing on the cake.

This company is great, we've bought dining and outdoor furniture from them. Good quality and reliable.

Pinotwoman82 · 08/06/2021 19:53

Furniture maxi has a lovely 8 seater corner, available in 3-5 days, only 5 left, £1000

Shorthairlady · 08/06/2021 19:55

Try www.Aosom.com. The delivery was quick as well. Very happy with what I purchased.

They said on the news that there was a National shortage!

Bloodyfuckit · 08/06/2021 20:03

Depends how fancy you want but supermarkets have basic sets in.

jarviscockatiel · 08/06/2021 20:05

A friend bought a sofa two chairs garden furniture set off eBay, rattan style, pretty old fashioned looking but excellent condition because it had been kept in a conservatory. I was a bit doubtful , but OMG it is the most comfortable garden furniture I have ever sat on. So jealous!
