Is your work amending or removing core hours?

Ours are not formally stated but are generally accepted to be 10-12 and 2-4. There is a consultation on changing them as part of a review of everything like this post covid.

I quite want a change as I would like to fetch my kids now and then if I am free, but can't think of a reasonable alternative to propose - is 10-2 a common set up?

Or should I ask for them to be removed completely? I feel that the business might not support that as they don't want people working out of normal hours in the main.

Our core hours are 9.30 - 3.30 but that applies to meetings rather than employee work hours which are more flexible. Working hours are what suits the business unit and employee but are broadly 7.30am - 6pm for usual working hours

As above 9.30 to 3.30 are pretty common core hours.
