In the spirit of daft sleb twaddle, what celeb pairings have you read about and would never have thought of as a couple in a million years?

For example

Harry & Meghan- knew of her from Suits but when I read about her and Harry for the first time I just thought “now that’s random!”. Particularly given his previous history of exclusively dating blonde Sloaney types...

Elon Musk and Grimes- after showing a preference for gorgeous young actresses (Talulah Riley and Amber Heard) I wouldn’t have placed him with a quirky electro pop singer who makes vulva-shaped jewellery on the side.

Lily Allen and David Harbour (but they do seem very sweet together)
Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston (RIP Tayto)
Kourtney Kardashian (I think that’s the right one) and Travis from Blink 182.
Phoebe Dynevor (from Bridgerton) and Pete Davidson (although he has a history of “huh” girlfriends- Kate Beckinsale for example)
Millie Mackintosh and Professor Green (who didn’t last very long to be fair)

This isn’t a criticism of any of these couples btw, if you’re happy you’re happy!

I love this thread. Hadn't realised most of these couples were dating. ( How did I miss Tom Cruise and Cher!) Agree abt Gwen S and Blake Shelton. On The Voice she always has a fuckton of makeup and elaborate hair, while he looks like he picked up his outfit at Walmarts.

I very much liked Chris Evans and Jenny Slate. Like Channing Tatum and Jessie J, she got a lot of shit from fans - essentially for not being ScarJo or some such bombshell - and he was very quick to shut it down, describing himself as the lucky one. Which he was.

Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow. He used to go to our local pub for the quiz when Coldplay were massive but before he was with her. He was such an ordinary bloke (nice, polite) it felt otherworldly when he started seeing and then married GP. To this day it feels completely outlandish to me.

My brother went to school with him and it still feels really weird.

Jason statham & Rosie Huntingley-Whiteley which i think initially was down to the age gap as they’re a very good looking couple and seem very happy together.

Mary-Kate Olsen & Olivier something - her now ex but yes that was odd.

Don’t get me wrong - I like her and she seems intelligent and funny but they just seemed like an odd pairing. He just strikes me as a bit of a ‘fuckboi’ and that he wanted to experiment in dating someone witty and clever but soon realised it wasn’t for him. I’m probably totally wrong and have no idea what I’m talking about. I loved their film Gifted though!

I remember thinking (then) Ellen Page and Alexander Skarsgård was a very strange pairing.
